Following the publication of this article, the authors noted that Wuping Li (RJ Samulski Lab, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA) was mistakenly omitted from the author list. Li made a significant contribution to this manuscript, developing the original shuffled AAV library that served as the starting material in these studies.
