Corrigendum

Corrigendum to “Effect of operating parameters on pure and mixed gas permeation properties of a synthesized composite PDMS/PA membrane” [J. Membr. Sci. 342 (2009) 327–340] Mohtada Sadrzadeh, Kazem Shahidi, Toraj Mohammadi ∗ Research Center for Membrane Separation Processes, Department of Chemical Engineering, Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), Narmak, Tehran, Iran

The authors regret that in the above paper, the feed flow rate and Eq. (8) were printed incorrectly. On page 330, Section 3.5 “Experimental Design”, the feed flow rate was mistakenly reported as 10 cm3 /s. The correct feed flow rate is 100 cm3 /s. Eq. (8) was also mistakenly typed as follows: Pi =

p1 dV 22, 414 l x A p2 − p1 RT i dt

The correct version of Eq. (8) is: Pi =

22, 414 l p1 dV y A p2 xi − p1 yi RT i dt

where A is the membrane area (cm2 ), p2 and p1 are the feed or upstream and permeate or downstream pressures (atm), respectively, R is the universal gas constant [6236.56 cm3 cmHg/(mol K)], T is the absolute temperature (K), xi and yi are the mole fractions of species i in the feed and permeate streams, dV/dt is the volumetric displacement rate of the soap film in the BFM (cm3 /s), and 22,414 is the number of cm3 (STP) of penetrant per mole.
