Corrigendum to ``Physiological studies on xylose induction and glucose repression of xylanolytic enzymes in Aspergillus sydowii MG49'' [FEMS Microbiol. Lett. 117 (1994) 151-156]…1† Mousumi Ghosh *, Geeta Nanda Department of Microbiology, Bose Institute, P-1/12, CIT Scheme, VIIM, Calcutta 700 054, India

The original identi¢cation of this organism was made in error and there is some confusion over the correct identi¢cation [1,2]. A recent letter from the author con¢rms that strain MG49 has been assigned to the species Aspergillus £avus and has been deposited in the ATCC as ATCC 96916.
