The authors regret that some errors occurred in the Results and discussion section on pages 88 and 89 in the above article. The beginning of the last paragraph in the left column on page 88 is reproduced correctly here: Another reason is that a surface water whose hydrogen forms a hydrogen bond to the bulk water is considered to be more easily detached from the bulk water than a surface water whose oxygen forms a hydrogen bond to the bulk water. The end of the paragraph in the upper right column on page 89 is reproduced correctly here: These indicate that the surface water whose hydrogen forms the hydrogen bond to the bulk waters is more easily evaporated, so that the negative z-direction electric field accelerates the water evaporation much more than the positive z-direction electric field.
