The authors would like to point out some errors that went unnoticed in the above article. In Eq. (2.2) on p. 236, the ‘‘þ’’ sign should be replaced by a ‘‘’’ sign, and the equation is to be evaluated at the equilibrium position ðyeq ; feq Þ; where ðy; fÞ describe the polar and azimuthal angles of the magnetization. In Eq. (2.4) on p. 237, ‘‘f ’’ should appear instead of ‘‘F’’ on the left-hand side of the equality, because this is the expression of the thermal average of the energy, and MSeff ¼ MS L1 ðxÞ should appear dividing in Eq. (2.5). In the Appendix on p. 241, the correct expression for Hr is the one quoted in Eq. (2.6). In what is called the ‘‘linear model’’ for the observed
lineshape of dispersed ferromagnetic nanoparticles subject to an uniaxial anisotropy and displayed in formula A.2, there is a typing mistake. The correct expression is given by 2
