There is a mistake in Table 2: the value of ˛Fc+ − Fc for DMSO is given as equal to −2.34 eV. However, in Ref. [51], this quantity was determined as −2.16 eV. After entropic correction to ionization potential, it becomes −2.14 eV. Therefore, the point for DMSO in Fig. 3 should be shifted down by 0.2 V, and it will lie practically on the common straight line, only ∼0.01 V below it. Hence, the behavior of DMSO will not differ substantially from that of other aprotic solvents. The corrected estimate of the surface potential of DMSO  is −0.17 V. With account of the aforementioned corrections, the transfer energies of monovalent cations from water into DMSO given in Table 3 should be increased by 22.2 kJ mol−1 , the energies for anions should be decreased by the same quantity.
