k ^ Z in c e the majority of dentists attending the annual session are in the general practice of dentistry, the scien tific session is prim arily designed to present a program of interest and value to them. O ther topics of current inter est and concern to the profession are also included in the selection of presentations to be made. In accordance w ith Association Bylaws, the Council on Scientific Session serves as the program committee for the scientific session and establishes rules and regula tions governing section officers in the performance of their duties, subject to the approval of the Board of Trust ees. The section officers submit suggestions fo r topics and speakers on the essay program, and also serve as program coordinators of their respective sections. This year's scientific session includes, in addition to an expanded essay program, an all-day endodontic workshop w ith audience participation, and new, extended lectures of full-day and half-day programs. The num ber of Limited Attendance Seminars and Lunch and Learn Sessions has been increased. And again this year, the 40-minute scien tific session lectures, 20-minute clinical lectures, m otion pictures, table clinics and student table clinics, and scien tific and educational exhibits w ill be offered. During the planning and actual presentation o f the sci entific program, the Council is assisted by members of the committee on clinics and m otion pictures, Committee on Local Arrangements. The Council on Scientific Session appreciates the work of those who have contributed to this year's program.
