J Belge Radio1 1991:74:1-g. Computed tomography (CT) scans of the hind and midfoot performed in 43 patients are reviewed. congenital abnormalities in five patients. In addition there were eight inflammatory processes and four presented with soft-tissue disorders. In reviewing the results, the authors are of the opinion that CT should be the method of choice in the evaluation of the subtalar joint and that CT permits a more satisfactory demonstration of soft-tissue disorders giving a better “spatial view” to the surgeon in the planning of the proper surgical procedure.
