Distinguished Reviewer Awards Manuscripts submitted to JVIR undergo a process of peer review. Similarly, the Editor and Deputy Editor evaluate the reviewer's performance. The evaluative process for JVIR reviewers entails objective measurement of promptness, number of reviews, and quality of reviews. The objective grades for quality are based on completion of gradesheets, reviewer etiquette, citation of relevant supporting references, insights provided, inclusion of a summary statement, and the provision of constructive comments that are transmissible to the author(s). In addition to the members of the Editorial Board recognized in the JVIR masthead, the following individuals distinguished themselves in reviewing manuscripts for JVIR between September 1993 and September 1994.
