ADDITIONAL

UNTABULATED

MATERIAL

The B.I.S. has no depository program in the U.S. Its annual report, only, is distributed automatically to the Library of Congress and the Library of International Relations in Chicago. University libraries may also receive the annual report upon request. The F.A.O. distributes all priced publications to 17 U.S. depositories and to the National Agricultural Library. Most of these depositories also receive documents of sessions of the FAO Council and Conference. Additionally, the 68 U.S. land grant institutions receive some priced publications through the U.S.D.A. The I.B.R.D. and the I.D.A. do not have depository programs in the U.S., although there are depository programs for university libraries in less developed countries. American U.N. depositories (and frequently other libraries) can get on a special mailing list for free publications. Official documents are not for distribution, even to the Joint Library. The I.F.C. and the I.M.F. have no depository library programs. However, U.N. depositories (and frequently others) can get on a mailing list for free materials. The IL0 Geneva Office reports that there is no IL0 depository system. However, a few libraries do apparently receive IL0 sales publications on a free exchange basis. The IL0 Branch Offices in Washington, D.C., and New York also receive all printed publications. The ITU has no depository system. Publications are available at cost from Geneva. The IPU has no depository system; however, postal administrations in each country have a certain number of copies of each publication available for distribution. Insufficient information was received from the O.E.C.D. for tabulation. There are currently 25 depositories in the U.S., but a cut-back to 5 depositories is being planned. The O.A.S. is considering cutting back its depository program, which is primarily an exchange arrangement, and the U.N. has announced its intention of doing so as of January, 1975.
