New version of current diverter ring
Orders received for double diaphragm
Rotating equipment supplier Inpro/ Seal has released a new version of its current diverter ring (CDR).
improved protection for motor bearings and the bearings of coupled equipment.
SPX has received several on-shore and off-shore orders for its Bran + Luebbe brand double acting double diaphragm pumphead.
The CDR uses proprietary conductive filaments to protect bearings from stray shaft currents generated by variable frequency drives (VFDs). The CDR provides a low impedance path to ground, drawing the currents away from the bearings and preventing premature bearing failure.
The CDR offers long-lasting protection from stray shaft currents and increased robustness.
This new version follows research and development in combination with field testing. According to the company, the new single piece design results in a more durable product – delivering

Heat pump available in modular system Afriso, a German manufacturer of heating devices has developed PrimoTherm, a 180 heating pump assembly used in closed thermal heating systems to circulate heating water or water-glycol mixtures.
The basic version comprises a stop valve with a red thermometer ball valve in the supply line and a blue thermometer ball valve as well as a stop valve with gravity brake, and the next version also contains a 3-way mixer with actuator.
PrimoTherm 180 is available in a modular system assembly in eight different versions which allows for a great variety of possible combinations: with or without three-way mixer, circulation pump and/or bypass valve, with supply at the right or left side. It has a compact design of the system which allows several pump assemblies to be mounted next to each other.
The PrimoTherm 180 is also available with a Grundfos or a Laing circulation pump, and if a pump without internal control is used, the version with a bypass valve can be used to ensure constant pressure in the heating system and to reduce flow noise. The heating pump assembly can also be made to specific specifications for OEMs. www.afriso.de

the escape of dangerous chemicals into the atmosphere.
The double acting hydraulically actuated pumphead is designed to accommodate applications such as glycol, methanol, polymer and hydrocarbon condensate injection of up to 400 bar and 150°C. This pumphead offers users double the flow capacity of a single traditional diaphragm head, and, compared to a conventional duplex pump, it can save space and weight because only one gear box is required to drive the equivalent of two pumpheads. The double diaphragm pumphead can also provide leak-free operation and prevent the safety and environmental problems associated with
It comes with variable flow control with the liquid end manufactured as standard from stainless steel. For corrosive and aggressive applications, other materials are available. The double acting diaphragm pumphead is suitable for applications where Bran + Luebbe Novados H Series pumps are typically employed. There is a choice of pressure gauge or switch rupture detection device backed up to the internal pressure relief valve and mechanically actuated replenishing system, including the facility to accommodate condition monitoring. www.spx.com
Early warning monitor for pump systems Bell & Gossett has introduced a new intelligent monitoring device that provides an early warning signal of pending pump trouble.
monitor is operational and has sufficient battery life.
The i-Alert Condition Monitor, continuously measures the vibrations and temperature every five minutes at the pump power end and uses two red blinking LEDs to alert engineers when the pump exceeds pre-set vibrations and temperature limits. The i-Alert also features a single green LED to indicate when the
The vibration alarm is set at 100% increase over baseline level (0.125 inch/sec minimum), with the temperature alarm at 195°F (91°C). The ambient temperature range is -40°F to 212°F (-40°C to 100°C) and accuracy is ±15% across temperature range. The i-Alert will be standard on all Bell & Gossett Series 1510 End Suction Pumps. www.bellgossett.com
