ECCC-IPACCMS-WFSICCM 2012 Annual Meeting 4th Asia-Africa World Federation Societies Intensive and Critical Care Medicine Conference On April 5 to 7, 2012, the ECCC Dubai 2012 hosted the Eighth Emirates Critical Care Conference, 4th Asia-Africa World Federation Societies of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine (WFSICCM) Conference, and the 8th International PanArab Critical Care Congress. Leaders from WFSICCM, European Society Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM), Neurocritical Care Society (NCC), Society Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), Emirate Intensive Care Society (EICS), and International Pan Arab Critical Care Medicine Society (IPACCMS) with representatives of 40 countries around the globe participated in this successful event. In our fifth consecutive year, the partnership of IPACCMS and WFSICCM grows in the field of education and research, especially in Asia and Africa. The 2012 awards were judged by an international panel consisting of Prof Phillip Dellinger (United States), Dr Christopher Farmer (United States), Dr Mohammad Bahzad (Kuwait), Dr Fekri Abroug (Tunisia), Dr Imad Swaiss (Jordan), Dr Tamer Abdelhak (United States), Dr Abdo Khoury (France), and Dr George AbiSaad (Lebanon).
