‘‘Concepts on Correction of the Musculoaponeurotic Layer in Abdominoplasty’’ by Dr Fabio Nahas in this issue of Clinics in Plastic Surgery is the most extensive compilation I have had the pleasure of reading on the subject of abdominal wall plication. It is a tour de force. Although some of us may not use all of the techniques he describes, understanding the range of deformities, the range of techniques to treat those deformities, and the thought process behind all of it is what differentiates us, plastic surgeons, from other specialists who might attempt to perform body-contouring
