The authors have found that the histochemical data reported in the two above-cited papers is incorrect. Specific catecholamine fluorescence in the nucleus accumbens septi and olfactory tubercle was not assessable. The explanation of behavioral results in terms of catecholamine neurone function can only be assumed from histological verification of lesion placements. The authors regret any inconvenience caused by this error.
