Erratum

Errata: “Notes on the origin of inertinite macerals in coals: Funginite associations with cutinite and suberinite” and “Notes on the origin of inertinite macerals in coal: Evidence for fungal and arthropod transformations of degraded macerals” James C. Hower a,⁎, Jennifer M.K. O'Keefe b, Cortland F. Eble c a b c

University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research, Lexington, KY 40511, United States Department of Earth and Space Sciences, Morehead State University, Morehead, KY 40351, United States Kentucky Geological Survey, Lexington, KY 40506, United States

In Figs. 1, 2, 3a, 3b, 4c, and 5a–d of Hower et al. (2011a) and Figs. 6f, 7, 8, and 9a of Hower et al. (2011b), the coal identified as Paleogene from Colombia is actually a Late Cretaceous Mesaverde Formation coal from the Sierra Blanca coalfield, Lincoln County, New Mexico. We regret the misidentification of the source. The clarification does not otherwise influence the discussion or conclusions in the two papers.
