In the above-mentioned special issue, the editors were incorrectly identified as Jerome Spanier and Joseph H. Pengilly. In fact, Professor Spanier holds the Joseph H. Pengilly Professor of Mathematics chair at The Claremont Graduate School, and he w&s the sole guest editor of the above issue. The correct title pages, contents and Preface pertaining to the special issue have been reprinted and are included loose with this issue. Sincere apologies are conveyed to Professor Spanier for this inadvertent error.
