experiences and not as punishment. Grading of tests should be carried out by question and not by student, and where possible grading should be done without knowledge of the student's name. Teachers have an obligation to oppose student dishonesty (cheating and plagiarism) and a plan of action must be established before the first class begins. In all dealings with the student the teacher should respect the student's right to privacy. The teacher has an ethical obligation to optimize conditions to allow all students to learn to the best of their abilities.

Abstract

A good teacher must have a real commitment to the student. He/she must strive to help each student realize his/her potential as a worthy and effective members of society. In this regard there are many ethical considerations that could be discussed; however, of primary importance is the matter of "fairness" in the treatment of students. One of the most difficult aspects of teaching is to disallow personal interactions with students (good or bad) and/or interfere with or modify the treatment of each student.
