MASTER’S DEGREE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT IMPLEMENTED
n
Effective in 1992, the NCBPNP/N implemented the Masters degree requirement for PNP certification eligibility. The eligibility policy states that completion of an educational program that grants a master’s degree in nursing as a PNP or completion of a postmaster’s degree PNP program is required for eligibility. This policy is in keeping with national trends and position statements supporting advanced nursing practice education at the masters level. n
