F25. CORRECTION OF BLOOD RHEOLOGY T H R O U G H THROMBOCYTE FUNCTION S. C H O O K L I N Medical Institute, Pasychna 38/10, 290038 Lviv, Ukraine The changes in rheologic blood properties lead to microcirculation disorders; danger of disseminated intravascular coagulation syndrome development appears. Peculiarities of blood rheolog), correction in surgical treatment of liver and splenic pathology. Functional features of thrombocytes in secretion grom granules of antiheparin factor, B-thromboglobulin, serotonin were investigated. Fibrinogen participation in coagulation processes was evaluated by fibrinopeptide A level. The investigation of t h r o m b o x a n e A 2 and prostacyclin in blood plasma by their stable metabolites (thromboxane B 2 and 6-keto prostaglandin Fla ) was p e r f o r m e d simultaneously. Bleedings, thromboses of portal system, and thromboembolies as the result of disorders in blood coagulation processes were noted. In addition, aggravation of blood rheologic properties was accompanied by increase of thrombocyte aggregation, and signs of the second stage sharp activation of "release reaction" from granules. In some cases a high level of B-thromboglobulin (over 200 ng/ml) was a characteristic marker of disseminated intravascular coagulation. Rheologic disorder process was intensified by increase in thromboxane A 2 and fibrinopeptide A concentration. There fore, obvious increase of fibrinopeptide A to 40 ng/ml can be considered as evidence of particular predisposition to venous thromboses. Blood rheologic properties d e p e n d e d on the ratio t h r o m b o x a n e A2/prostacyclin. This observation suggested use of aspirin, dipyridamole, and an inhibitor of serotonin as complex correction of theologic disorders which decreased the amount of complication. In addition, t h r o m b o x a n e A 2 and B-thromboglobulin synthesis was inhibited, and thrombocyte aggregation decreased. Thus, the data allow regulation of blood theologic properties by means of system elcosanoids-thrombocytes.

F. LIAO, R. L I A O t AND W. LI Institute of Chinese Materia Medica, China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Beijing, 100700, P. R. China tChuiyangliu Hospital, Beijing, P. R. China Rotational viscometry of blood clotting with three parameters (Ix, dx/L Xm) was established by us [1]. d z / d t or drl/dt in linearly increasing segment of shear stress was defined as the clotting velocity. For further investigation of the ~(Y) - t(X) relation, curves of 1) Yl/2=al/2 + b 1/2 X 1/2 and 2) Y=a X b were fitted for the full segment from tr to xm. Thirty-eight curves were involved in the computerized investigation, including recalcification of platelet-richplasma, platelet-poor-plasma and whole blood. Squared correlation coefficient (R 2 ) of the fittings showed that equation 1) (R2=0.96) was better than 2) (R2=0.89). T test showed P<0.01. It indicated that the square root
