In brief Z8000 Software Hemenway Associates has announced two new utility software packages for the Z8000 family. Both are designed to run under their HA-CP/Z8000 operating system in a 32 kbyte RAMconfigured system. The RAZ8002ML resident assembier and the LINKZ8002 linking loader (part of the assembler package) comprise a two-pass macroassembler and a one-pass linking loader. The RAZ8002ML has full macro facilities and conditional assembly of up to eight nested levels. RAZ8002ML with LINKZ8002 costs $350.

National Semiconductor has introduced a high-speed 8k ultraviolet erasable EPROM, MM2758. It is organized as 1024 by 8-bits, and typical access time is 450 ns.

Fairchild have introduced a macro assembler software package which is available as part of a kit together with their F387X PEP single-board microcomputer. The F387X PEP-UP package enables F8 and F387X object code to be generated using an Intel development system. Called UV8, it has been developed by Microdata Computers. The unit's timer can be preset to expose EPROMs for either 8 or 16 rain and, at the end of this period, a tone is emitted. Wintek has announced a C compiler for the 6800 microprocessor. It is intended to run under the WIZRD multitasking disc operating system on the SPRINT 68 microcomputer. The cost for C is $495. SPRINT 68 with 48k RAMi dual 8in floppy drives, and WIZRD costs $3995.

Hawke Cramer are offering Am96/1000 Series memory boards by Advanced Micro Computers. They are available in 32k, 64k, 96k or 128k versions and support 8- and 16-bit microcomputer systems.

Millennium Analyzer software Millennium's Fastprobe software package is designed to work with their MicroSystem Analyzer, and fills the gaps between nonprogrammable testers and costly automatic test equipment. The package runs on a host computer linked to the Analyzer, using RS232 serial communication. Fastprobe controls the Analyzer operation which stimulates the circuit under test.
