Fast priming pump for chemicals Finish Thompson has developed the SP 22 Series, a centrifugal pump which has lifts up to 25 ft and fast priming time of up to 18 ft in 90 seconds. It has flow rates up to 250 gpm. The SP22 is powered by magnetic drive technology and can provide years of sealless operation with no leaks and the ability to run-dry without damage in absence of continuous flow, the company says. The pump features corrosion resistant construction, high working pressure capability to 90 psi,
energy saving high operating efficiency, and up to 1.8 high specific gravity handling ability. It incorporates NPT or BSP threaded flange or union connections and multiple impeller diameters (impeller trims available every 1/8-in) provide broad hydraulic coverage. Compact system for dosing Bronkhorst UK has introduced a compact, portable liquid mass flow dosing system which includes a Coriolis or thermal flowmeter, close-coupled gear pump, operation module and power supply integrated into a 19 in housing. A range of system models incorporate different Bronkhorst flowmeters and they cover a wide range of flow control and pressure ranges, from very low flow rates measured in milligrams, up to liquid flows of 30 kg/hr. The gear pump is directly controlled by the
onboard PID function of the flowmeter, ensuring fast real-time flow pattern changes and a ‘plug and play’ start-up procedure. Accurate fluid dosage is assured by the application of mass flow measuring techniques, regardless of whether the ‘recipe’ is mass or volumetric based, Bronkhurst says.
