Fetal and neonatal medicine issue This issue is limited to voluntarily submitted articles and requested commentaries concerned with problems of early infancy. By happenstance we have accumulated an unusual number of articles in this category, and it seemed appropriate and hopefully helpful to assemble those available in a single issue. The relatively large number of papers being submitted on neonatal disorders is an indication of the current interest in the problems of the neonate. Limitation of a given issue to articles on related subjects neither sets a precedent for the JOURNAL nor indicates that similar issues will be forthcoming. W . E. N .
