Met-Chem Inc. Cleveland Met-Chem Inc. manufactures filter presses from 1 to 100 ft 3 and sludge dryers from 2 to 75 ft 3. The filter press dewaters slurry from a variety of industrial wastes. It filters solids that have been settled in a clarifier or sludge thickener. The liquid gets squeezed out while the solids collect in the plate chambers. Once the filter press cycle is complete, the filter cake volume can be reduced further by using their batch-style, indirectly heated sludge dryer. t
