CONDUCTIVE BLACK F'OLYF'ROPYLERESHEET
Corribord twin-walled polypropylene sheet is now available f'rom Northern Ireland Plastics in a conductive version. This grade is also permanently antistatic and dust-free. It contains a conductive grade of' carbon black.
FIRE RETARDANT POLYCARBONATE SHEET
Structured Plastics Europe, the Sheet and Film Division of' General Electric Plastics, has introduced a f'ire retardant grade of' its Impax 7000 opaque polycarbonate sheet. The new grade, designated Impax 7200, has the same property prof'ile as the earlier grade, but in addition is rated VO and certified Class 1 according to UL-94 and BS 476, Part 7 respectively, at 3 mm. thickness. It is intended for pressure and vacuum f'orming in applications such as business machine housings, electrical enclosures, and interior cladding in mass transit systems.
GL.ASS FIBRE CAPACITY INCREASE
Owens-Corning Fiberglas is increasing its production capacity of glass fibre in the U.K. and in Belgium. Plant capacity at Wrexham (U.K.) will effectively be doubled, wnilst at Battice in Belgium a new continuous strand mat line bill come on stream at the end of 1989.
