CONGRESS REPORT
THE FIRST Asia-Pacific Congress on Animal, Plant and Microbial Toxins was held 2 4 - 27 June 1987 in Singapore, at the National University of Singapore Campus. About 130 participants from various countries of the Asia-Pacific re#on, namely Australia, Burma, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Talwan, Thailand, Sri Lanka, etc., as well as many participants from Europe, the U.S.A. and the U.S.S.R., attended the meeting. The precongress satellite meetings of working groups on various problems related to animal toxins (5 working groups) were originally planned for 20 participants, but were attended by 50 - 60 participants. During the sessions a wide range of topics relating to toxins were discussed. A wide range of social activities for the participants, as well as family members, were arranged. P.
