He said that since its creation in 1955 the Fund has received $738,15 1.00 from the SDTA and its members, 45 per cent of its total income. In 1964 the ADTA campaign in behalf of the Fund topped t,he $100,000.00 mark for the fifth consecutive year. In addition to its annual campaign, the ADTA turns over all its living memorial contributions to the Fund. It also sponsors an annual $6,000.00 dental teaching fellowship and four $500.00 dental laboratory technology scholarships. Both programs are administered through the Fund. More than $100,000.00 has been granted United States and Canadian dental students by the ADTA’s Student Loan Fund, established in 1957. This mark was passed in 1964 when a loan was granted to the 287th student to receive an ADTA loan. This activity is carried on in addition to its support of AFDE. The ADTA, the American Dental Association, and the American Association of Dental Schools are official sponsors of the Fund.
Charles Bingham Bolton honored The Hamken School Alumni Association of Cleveland recently honored Mr. Charles Bingham Bolton, recipient of the Ketcham Award in 1962 and the man for whom the school of dentistry of Western Reserve University is named, by naming a faculty chair for him. At a dinner on March 15, 1965, at the Union Club in Cleveland, Mr. Bolton was presented with the Alumni Award of the Hamken School.
Dr. Salxmann honored The Dental Alumni Society of the School of Dental Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, presented an Award of Merit to Dr. J. A. Salzmann at a luncheon on May 21, 1965. This award is presented to alumni in recognition of their efforts for the advancement of dentistry, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Dental Alumni Society.

Paul Guy Spencer THE AMERICAN JOURNAL OF ORTHODOXTICS regrets to announce the death of Paul Guy Spencer of Bourne, Texas, on June 7, 1965. Dr. Spencer was a past president of the American Association of Orthodontists and a founder and past president of the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists. A suitable biography and notice of his passing will be puhlished in the JOURNAL at a later date.
