Freedom of information Marcus Turle, Freedom of Information Manual, first ed. Sweet & Maxwell, 2005, ISBN 0421 922 400, (493 pp., Hard-cover £95.00). The aim of this text is to provide an explanation of the Freedom of Information Act and guidance on using this, and associated legislation. There are three main sections: Part I offers detailed commentaries on the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004, whilst Part II provides commentary and guidance on aspects of the freedom of information regime. Useful material is also appended to individual chapters and the Part III Appendix. Overall, this text provides in-depth yet practical guidance on using the Freedom of Information Act and it should be an essential purchase for public authorities, for individuals
