From Beijing 2006 towards Montreal ISP2010
ISP2006 The fifth International Congress of Pathophysiology (June 28–July 1, 2006) was organized in China International Conference Center, Beijing by the Chinese Association of Pathophysiology with the support of China Association for Science and Technology. Professor Qide Han served as the President of the Congress and Professor Liling Wu as the Secretary General. The Congress was run smoothly, and the meeting atmosphere was infiltrated with humanistic flavour of traditional and modern Chinese culture and remarkable progress of Chinese science. Some 900 participants (632 from China and 296 from abroad) attended ISP2006. In the program 15 plenary lectures were given. In 33 symposia, some 320 oral presentations and more than 600 posters in 12 poster sessions were presented. Six satellite meetings were held. Ten young poster presenters got a grant.The International Society for Pathophysiology had its administrative meetings during the Congress, too. The ISP General Assembly elected for the next four-year period (2006–2010) Professor Qide Han, China, to serve as ISP President and Professor Youyi Zhang as ISP Secretary General (

ISP2010 The ISP General Assembly confirmed, after receiving the report on the well worked out preparations, that 6th Congress of Pathophysiology (www.ISPmontreal2010.com) will be held June 26–July 2, 2010 in Montreal (Quebec), Canada (more about the hosting city, e.g., www.montrealcam. com) with Professor Pavel Hamet as its President (pavel.
