ail Schupak has been practicing orthodontics in Manhattan for almost 23 years. She grew up in the Long Island suburbs of New York City and attended the University of Rochester for her undergraduate degree in biology and the University of Pennsylvania for dental school. She got her certificate in orthodontics from Columbia University. From the moment she arrived at Penn, she was active in the Beta chapter from Social chair, to Rush chair, and then co- president. The Beta chapter, at that time, was one of the biggest AO student chapters and was intimately connected to the dental school and its faculty during the deanship of D. Walter Cohen. Gail was an alternate delegate and then twice a delegate to convention from the Beta chapter. When she moved to New York, she immediately be-
came involved with the Columbia chapter and then the New York alumni chapter. She is currently the president of the New York alumni chapter and is the immediate past Regent. Besides Alpha Omega, Gail is active in Hadassah and UJA. She is a very active member of the Brotherhood synagogue where her daughter Sarah celebrated her becoming a Bat Mitzvah 5 years ago. Gail is on the faculty at New York University in the department of orthodontics and had a joint appointment in the pediatric dental department. She recently took in an associate to her practice who was also an active AO member from NYU, Janine Fields Ellis. Gail is very excited about her new position with the Alpha Omega Foundation and is eager to make a positive contribution.

Vice-President of Finance and later as Vice-President of Membership. For over 10 years he volunteered at the Ben Massell Dental Clinic and the American Red Cross Oral Cancer Screening. Jay has been on the Executive Board of the Flying Doctors of America for 12 years and has been on dental mercy missions to the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Mexico and Cuba. Roselee has also accompanied him on one of the missions and she said that it was very hard and crude, but also a rewarding experience. Jay is a Founder and Patron Founder of the Hebrew University Hadassah and a Founder of the Maurice and Gabriella Goldschlager School of Dental Medicine founded by Alpha Omega. While attending Emory Dental School he encountered quite a bit of anti- semitism. Following graduation, there was a fundraising drive to build a new dental school. Jay was one of only 12 Major Benefactors listed on a bronze plaque in the lobby. It gave him great pleasure to let the Dean and President of the University know that he would never give again and why. He did this under advisement of PIP Dr. Marvin Goldstein who was the moving force to eliminate antisemitism at Emory Dental School. Jay is looking forward to serving this year as a Trustee of the U.S. Alpha Omega Foundation.
