News GKN Sinter Metals starts new blog GKN Sinter Metals has set up a new blog covering innovations, trends and news in the field of powder metallurgy. The six blog authors, who are all subject matter experts according to GKN, will address topics such as ‘Are gears becoming obsolete?’ and ‘AM in the automotive industry – dream or real opportunity?’. In the first issue, D. Gerd Kotthoff, director, advanced gear technology, will discuss the supply of sintered PM gear wheels for high-volume production, highly loaded manual transmissions. ‘We look forward to share our know-how, experience and market views with our blog community,’ said Alfons Geueke, global marketing director, GKN Sinter Metals. ‘With regular posts, we intend to establish a platform that quickly develops into a hub for trend-setting, out-of-the-box thinking and exchanges.’ The blog can be found at www.gknsintermetals-blog.com
