Franklin Electric expands in filtration with First Sales acquisition

ranklin Electric Co Inc has completed the acquisition of First Sales LLC, an Indiana manufacturer of water treatment and filtration equipment for residential and commercial markets. First Sales designs, manufactures and distributes its products under the Sterling Water Treatment and Avid Water Systems brand names, primarily for customers in the United States. In fiscal 2018, First Sales had annual sales of approximately US$14 million. First Sales’ operating results will now be reported in Franklin Electric’s Water Systems segment beginning in the third quarter of 2019. Don Kenney, president of Franklin’s North America Water Systems business unit, said: “First Sales has developed industry leading products for the professional installer of in-home and commercial water treatment systems. s membrane technology provider Biwater Inc continues to expand, the company has relocated to larger premises in Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA. The new state-of-the-art facility is equipped with advanced fabrication capability to deliver membrane technologies for water filtration, water reuse and desalination. Andritz purchases Sweden’s Kempulp

A

ndritz Group has bought Kempulp, a Swedish specialist provider of process technologies for the chemical pulping industry. Kempulp, which is based in Karlstad and employs around 30 people, designs and markets technologies used in chemical pulping, including pulp washing, oxygen delignification and bleaching technologies. The acquisition includes all of Kempulp’s intellectual property rights, technical expertise, tools, systems and inventory. Kempulp will now be fully integrated into the Andritz Pulp & Paper organisation. “Kempulp’s products and process technologies will continue to be a strong player on the market, providing solutions

Grundfos opens new sales office in Indonesia

T Grundfos Pompa, the sales company of Grundfos Group in Indonesia, has inaugurated its new office building in Surabaya, the country’s second largest city and the capital of the East Java province. The new branch office will help Grundfos serve customers across key segments including industry, water utility, commercial building services and domestic building services. Kim Jensen, regional managing director – Grundfos Asia Pacific Region, and Giancarlo Roggiolani, general manager – Grundfos Indonesia & Philippines, attended the inaugural event, along with key management team members from Indonesia, customers and partners. “Our new branch office in Surabaya has been designed keeping efficiency at its core,” said Roggiolani, “In addition to being comfortable, it is also equipped with supporting facilities such as service workshops (after sales service), training rooms and product displays.
