Editorial Guidelines for Case Reports and Review Articles Our thanks to all the people we heard from after publication of the first issue of The American Journal of Geriatric Pharmacotherapy. We had a number of requests for author guidelines for review articles and case reports. The journal is an excellent venue for these types of articles, and we welcome the submission of comprehensive review articles, meta-analyses of the literature, and case reports or case series concerning new or unusual adverse drug reactions in elderly patients. The Information for Authors in every issue and on our Web site (www.AJGeriPharmacother.com) provides advice on how such articles should be formatted for journal submission. In the case of reviews, we suggest that authors discuss the proposed topic with one of the editors to avoid duplication of previously submitted or accepted manuscripts. In addition, prospective authors are directed to several excellent publications on the writing of reviews1>2 and case reports.3>4 We look forward to receiving your submissions. Kenneth E. Schmader, MD Joseph T. Hanlon, PharmD, MS Co-Editors-in-Chief P.S.-We are pleased to announce that articles appearing in the journal will now be indexed in International Pharmaceutical Abstracts, as well as on EMBASE.
