Detailed engineering and procurement will start immediately and infrastructure construction work is already underway at the site. The project is scheduled to be operational in 2016, and the mine is expected to have a a 30-year life.

subsidiary of Foster Wheeler AG’s Global Engineering and Construction Group has been awarded a contract by Abu Dhabi National Chemicals Co (ChemaWEyaat) to provide project management consultancy (PMC) services for an aromatics complex (Stage I of the Tacaamol Project) and the supporting infrastructure in Abu Dhabi. The aromatics complex, which will be located at the Madeenat ChemaWEyaat Al Gharbia site, east of the Ruwais Industrial Complex, will convert almost three million tons per year of heavy and medium naphtha, supplied by pipeline from the Takreer Ruwais Refinery, into 4

KBR to construct shale gas processing facility in Canada

tion of a 200 million standard cubic feet per day (SCFD) sweet natural gas processing plant near Fort St John, British Columbia, Canada. alliburton has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Gazprom International for the development and implementation of new oil & gas technologies in global exploration and production projects. The agreement covers the exchange of information related to oil & gas technologies, technical training provided by Halliburton to Gazprom International and the deployment of Halliburton technology on Gazprom International projects. Gazprom International is a Gazprom subsidiary specialising in the prospecting, exploration and production of hydrocarbons outside the Russian Federation. It currently runs 17 projects around the world.
UF technology treats oil rig water
U
ltrafiltration (UF) specialist inge GmbH has signed a deal with the UK’s VWS Westgarth to supply its UF technology to treat water on an oil rig. inge will deliver more than 600 dizzer UF modules, based on its patented Multibore membrane, for a 62 000 m3/day UF system. The treated seawater will be used in the oil extraction process on a drilling platform. The UF pretreatment stage will deliver fine filtered seawater (0.01 μm) to the sulphate removal package, which will then feed the water injection pumps. VWS Westgarth, a subsidiary of Veolia Water, is inge’s first customer from the oil production industry, which is a strategically important market for the German company.
