ICHEME SERIAL PUBLICATIONS NEWS Free and Reduced Access for Over 90 Countries The Institution of Chemical Engineers has teamed up with PERI (the Programme for the Enhancement of Research Information) to make all six of its serial publications accessible to developing nations. The initiative allows research and academic institutes in over 40 countries to get free online access to IChemE titles with another 50 countries able to take advantage of nation-wide reduced access fees. Chemical Engineering Research and Design, Process Safety and Environmental Protection, Food and Bioproducts Processing, Education for Chemical Engineers, Loss Prevention Bulletin and The Chemical Engineer are all now available free online to countries ranging from Coˆte d’Ivoire to Iraq, whilst others including Bulgaria, Indonesia, Ukraine and Vietnam now have affordable access. Within 24 hours of release, six universities in countries that IChemE had little or no presence in, signed up to the programme.
