Electronic manuscripts: Electronic manuscripts have the advantage that there is no need for the rekeying of text, thereby avoiding the possibility of introducing errors and resulting in reliable and fast delivery of proofs. For the initial submission of manuscripts for consideration, hard copies are sufficient. For the processing of accepted papers, electronic versions are preferred. After final acceptance, your disk plus three, final and exactly matching printed versions should be submitted together. Double density (DD) or high density (HD) diskettes (312 or 514 inch) are acceptable. It is important that the file saved is in the native format of the wordprocessor program used. Label the disk with the name of the computer and wordprocessing package used, your name, and the name of the file on the disk. Further information may be obtained from the Publisher.

Scope Catalysis Today concentrates on the rapid publication of papers devoted to currently important topics in catalysis and related subjects. It differs from conventional journals in that each issue is dedicated to a distinct topic with issues either being prepared under the guidance of a guest editor or as a monograph. Both fundamental and applied aspects of catalysis are covered. While it is expected that many of the issues will be concerned with heterogeneous catalysis, subjects such as homogeneous catalysis and enzymatic catalysis will also be covered. Subjects related to catalysis such as techniques, adsorption, and process technology, etc. will be included if there is a clear relationship with catalysis. The types of publication covered by Catalysis Today are: (1) Collections of review articles or original publications on a common theme. (2) Monographs written by a single author or a group of authors covering a specific subject. (3) Proceedings of short meetings (symposia, workshops, etc.). The criteria for inclusion of papers, reviews or monographs are that a single topic is considered and that the contributions are original. All possible contributions to Catalysis Today should first be discussed in detail with either the Editor or one of the Associate Editors. Authors who would like to prepare an issue should submit a draft proposal in which they indicate the title of the project, give a brief outline of the material which they intend to cover, and a break-down of the project into chapters or papers. For issues of type (1) and (3) mentioned above, it will be necessary to also provide a list of the proposed contributors and the expected titles of their papers. As in conventional journals, a strict refereeing policy is applied. The publication of material in Catalysis Today that has appeared (or is likely to appear) elsewhere is discouraged. Submission of an article is understood to imply that the article is original and unpublished and is not being considered for publication elsewhere.
Catalysis Today has no page charges Submission of papers. Once a project has been accepted for publication, authors and guest editors will receive individual instructions from the Publisher in connection with the preparation and submission of papers. However, the following general rules should be observed: Papers should be in double-spaced typing on pages of uniform size. The language used should be English. Final versions of papers should be submitted as hard copy and also on floppy disk ^ either 3.5 or 5.25 inch disks. The complete postal address, full telephone, Fax No. and e-mail address of the corresponding author should be indicated. An Abstract of 50^200 words should be included at the beginning of the paper. All tables and illustrations should bear a title or legend. Each table should be typed on a separate page. References should be numbered consecutively throughout the text and should be collected together in a reference list at the end of the paper. Footnotes should not include bibliographic material, and reference lists should not include material that could more appropriately appear as a footnote. Numerals for references should be given in square brackets (alphabetical suffixes should be avoided). The abbreviated title should be followed by a volume number, year (in parentheses) and page number. Illustrations: Line drawings and cyclic or aromatic chemical formulae should be in a suitable form for direct reproduction, drawn, plotted or printed in black ink on white or tracing paper (letter height 3^5 mm). Captions to illustrations should be collected in sequence on a separate page or pages. Photographs should be black and white glossy prints and as rich in contrast as possible. Where magnifications are concerned, it is preferable to indicate the scale by means of a ruled line on the photograph. Proofs. One set of proofs will be sent to the corresponding author, as indicated on the title page of the manuscript.
