News New alarm annunciator
Rochester Instrument Systems have launched the AN6100 Series Alarm Annunciator. The display is designed to allow the windows to be hacklit by long-life filament lamps or equally bright 'fit and forget' LED plug-in assemblies. The window legends can be engraved, or computer generated and laser printed on to film, allowing users the flexibility to produce their own customized legends if required. Noise immunity complies with IEC 801.3-5 standard, and alarm sequences

to ISA Standard S 18.1-1979 with four visual first-out groups. The simplicity of installation of the AN6100 can considerably reduce project cost, and its modular design allows any matrix of modules up to 4 x 4 to be provided with any combination of window size and colour variations from 2 to 124 alarm points in one matrix configuration. The CX-IMAGE, an integrated 2K monitor and graphics engine is specifically targeted at highly demanding applications such as air/vessel traffic control, mapping, training and simulation. The system consists of the MX2500 29 in colour monitor with a resolution of 2560 x 2048 integrated with a single board graphics controller capable of graphics speeds in excess of 2 million vectors per second. The graphics processing hardware is integrated into the base of the MX2500 monitor, providing users with a much smaller system footprint. The controller supports highperformance versions of industry standard software such as GKS, PHIGS+, X-Windows and PEX, and also features multi-head capability. The flexibility of the CX-IMAGE enables interfacing to the user's choice of host computers through Ethernet, Micro Channel Architecture I/O bus connection and others. (BARCO Display
