NEWS ITEMS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CORRELATIONS OF PARTICLES EMITTED IN NUCLEAR REACTIONS (Gatlinburg, 15--17 October 1964) An International Conference on Correlations of Particles Emitted in Nuclear Reactions, accepted as a Topical Conference by the American Physical Society, will be held October 15-17, 1964 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. This Conference will he concerned with the experimental and theoretical investigations of nuclear reactions which yield three or more bodies in the final state. The concentration will be on the correlations (in energy and in angle) of the particles which emerge in such reactions. Deadline for abstracts of contributed papers will be September 1, and these abstracts must conform absolutely to the requirements specified by the American Physical Society, since eventually they will appear in the Bulletin of The American Physical Society. Abstracts and summaries are to be sent to Alexander Zucker, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Post Office Box X, Oak Ridge, Tennessee. A limited number of contributions will be selected for presentation at the Conference but the Organizing Committee has plenary authority to accept or decline papers that are offered. Fifteenhundred word summaries of these papers (accompanied by not more than four figures) must be submitted by October 17. These summaries will appear in the published proceedings of the Conference.
