ANNOUNCEMENT International System for Cytogenetic Nomenclature (ISCN)" Guidelines on cancer cytogenetics
The ISCN Standing Committee intends to revise the nomenclature on cancer cytogenetics. The Committee has decided to organize a working group that will meet in April 1991 to prepare a proprosal for nomenclature modifications. This proposal could then be approved by the Standing Committee in October 1991 at the International Con~ gress of Human Genetics in Washington, DC. Tumor cytogeneticists are kindly encouraged to submit karyotypes of neoplastic cells where they have found the current ISCN nomenclature inadequate.
