The Editor's Workshop Introduction of Section Editor: Dermatology for Pediatric/Adolescent Gynecology If there is ever a specialty in medicine that I wish I had spent more time in, had more enhanced knowledge, the ability to “take a look” and say, “Aha”, this is the best topical (or systemic) treatment, indeed it’s Dermatology. That having been said, we strive to provide you, the Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (JPAG) audience, with the knowledge base, the aptitude, and in essence facilitate “the learning curve”, when it comes to Dermatology in our patient age group. We have called upon Dr Joseph C. English III to share his expertise in this section of JPAG. Dr. English is a most accomplished academician; a graduate of Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, having earned his undergraduate degree at St. Bonaventure, Summa cum laude, and additionally trained at Brooke Army Medical Center, Ft. Sam Houston in Texas. He is Associate Professor of Dermatology and Clinical Vice Chairman for Quality & Innovation in the University of Pittsburgh Department of
Dermatology. He founded the “Teledermatology Program” at The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and was the Residency Program Director from 2003 to 2008. He is the recipient of numerous teaching awards; he is a prolific researcher and outstanding clinician. Indeed, in my opinion, Dr. English is meritorious of the title, “The Dermatologists Dermatologist”. He has lectured both nationally and internationally. We are both honored and privileged to have Dr. English “On Board” and appreciate his time and talents complementing his willingness to share such with our JPAG audience. Joe, Welcome a Board!
