Variation of P wave velocities m d electrical resistivities of several suites of water-saturated recent volcanics was investigated. Both P velocities and resistivities exhibited strong dependence on porosity. Resistivity was also dependent upon degree of water saturation and temperature. P wave velocities, while showing a strong deperzler~e on porosityj appear to be independent of water saturation und tempersture. 833111 SCALE INV~tI~IANCE OF THE L~,: F.~,QUENCY ELECTRIC/~L PROPERTIES OF INNO!!OGENEOU:~ ~,T.,T~]~Jli~. ~HORT NOTE Cohen• M H Geoyhysics, V46, NT, July 1981, PI057-!059
