Mechanical Cupping Tester BYK-Gardner USA Sliver Spring. Md. BYK-Gardner LJSA announces the addition of a mechanical cupping tester to their line of flexibility instruments. The cupping tester is a manually opcrated instrument used for testing the elongation of coatings on metallic substrates. It includes a magnifying glass and halogen lamp for careful examination of coating system failure. The instrument can also be used for testing adhesion properties of single and multicoat systems. Particulates and organics removed using a prefilter and carbon media tank. Both protect the integrity of the resin contained in two fiberglass tanks working in lead/lag style.
