The program will consist of invited lectures as well as invited and contributed papers. Contributed papers are solicited in all areas of mechanics. There is no restriction on geographic location of authors. Papers to be presented will be selected on the basis of submitted abstracts. The abstracts of papers to be presented will appear in the Proceedings of this conference. Full publication elsewhere is permitted and encouraged. Abstracts must be received by February 1,198l. Non-Newtonian Fluid Mechanics may be interested to learn that the above book, which was reviewed in Vol. 4, p. 371, has recently been revised and translated into English and is available from Mir Publishers, Moscow.
