Erratum J Orthop Sci (2005) 10:353–359 The next-to-last paragraph in the section Validity, under Results, on page 357, should read as follows: No statistical difference in age (P = 0.194) was found between men [49.9 (SD 4.7)] and women [55.4 (SD 1.8)]. The DASH-JSSH-DS mean score was 22.4 (SD 18.1) for men and 30.4 (SD 21.1) for women. There was no statistical difference between them (P = 0.161). This result supports our hypothesis. The correlation between the DASH-JSSH-DS score and age was weak (r = 0.296, P < 0.05).
