As your postconvention chairman, I wish to thank everyone for the fine attitude of understanding and goodwill displayed in Mexico, which should help to further international relations. We can take pride in the knowledge that the “ugly American” is not a part of our group, either at home or abroad.

Joint meeting of American and Mexican orthodontists THE American Association of Orthodontists held a postconvention joint meeting with the Mexican Association of Orthodontists at the Maria Isabel Hotel in Mexico City on May 14, 1965. All participants from north of the Rio Grande are loud in their thanks and praise for the hospitality and courtesy extended by the gracious hosts. The Mexican officers of the meeting were as follows: Roberto Sanchez W., president Alicia Laze de la Vega, secretarCommittees Roberto Sanchez W., chairman Samuel Fastlicht, advisor Roberto BI. Ruff, advisor Special acknowledgments are due Roy R. Gonzalez, A. A. 0. postconvention chairman; Roberto Sanchez W., 31. A. 0. chairman; and William M. Lathrop, Jr., who presented the audio-visual program. Such meetings as this do much to create a good relationship between various countries.
