Brief Description: L-A-S (Linear Algebra and Systems) is a high level interactive conversational program language useful for analysis and design of linear control systems. It has the capability of allowing user to define a maximum of I00 matrices, vectors, polynomials or polynomial matrices of arbitrary dimensions with the total number of entries not exceeding: (i) i0,000 on PC's and, (ii) 500,000 on virtual memory machines as VAX, microVAX and SUN. L-A-S can be used to construct, test and evaluate various control algorithms for analysis and design linear and a wide class of nonlinear systems. Modular structure of the language permits easy modification, updating and extensions. The syntax and semantics are simple and straightforward so the familiarity of the language may be easily obtained. Cost of program is $500. Potential Users: Students, researchers. Fields of Interest: Control system design,
linear algebra.
This application program in the area of control system design has been developed for PC/AT, PS/2, VAX, SUN in FORTRAN 77 to run under DOS, VMS, UNIX. It is available on 3-1/2", dual-sided, double-density floppy diskette. Required memory is IMB. Distributed by TSi Enterprises, Inc. User training is required. There is extensive external documentation. Source code is not available. The package is fully operational. It has been in use at 20 sites for approximately i0 years. The contributor is available for user inquiries.
