Chemical pump success breeds low flow version

Trebor International’s Maxim 25 ultrapure, air-operated chemical pump meets low to medium flow rate requirements in recirculation, spray tool, and most chemical delivery applications. Handling temperatures up to 180°C and flow capacities up to 30 lpm, the Maxim 25 is completely non-metallic, contains no elastomer O-rings, and includes a fluid path consisting of all PTFE and PFA materia1s.A nonpenetrated double layer PTFE diaphragm design offers a long operating life, exceeding two years in most cases. This pump easily retrofits into existing installations with several fhtid port and cotiguration options. Greg Orr, Trebor’s vice president of sales and marketing, said, “The Maxim 25 is Trebor’s latest offering in our series of completely non-metallic Maxim pumps. Last year’s introduction of Trebor’s Maxim 50 for higher flow capacities proved very successful and we’re now offering the Maxim 25 for lower flow rate applications. The Maxim Pump’s comadvantages include petitive ultra-purity, reliability, low maintenance, and compatibility with

almost all wet process chemicals and applications.” Contact: Trebor International, 6100 South 1300 West, West Jordan, Utah 64066, USA. Tel: +l 601 561 0303; Fax +l 601 265 2312; www.treborintl.com

Large auger pump handles sludges with ease

Mono Pumps has further reduced the cost and inconvenience of pumping highly viscous materials such as sludges, slurries, non-flowing pastes and dewatered products, with the launch of the W Range Large Auger progressing cavity pump.

The W Range Large Auger PC pump can handle highly viscous materials without a bridge breaker. The increased diameter of the auger combined with an extended inlet hopper, means the pump can now handle sludges with viscosities as high as 1 000 000 CP without the need for an additional bridge breaker. The W Range Large Auger pump incorporates a number of features to minimise maintenance requirements and costs, including flanged ball end pin joints which can be easily replaced when required, and a separate flanged throat section which enables the auger assembly unit to be quickly removed for routine maintenance. Available as a close coupled or bareshaft pump, the W Range Large Auger pump can be supplied as a two or four stage unit, in cast iron or stainless steel. With a range of hopper sizes, it can develop pressures up to 48 bar and handle capacities up to 215 m3/h, making it suitable for

Taking the headache out of liquids handling

A range of centrifugal pumps from Kestner now offer maximum life with minimum maintenance. The use of Kestner’s specialized plastics and metals throughout the range, together with conventional Ferrous, NonFerrous alloys and Thermoplastics, should ease the pain (,f handling difficult liquids.

pact and rugged unit, ideally suited to remote areas of chemical worksThe pump features a sandwich construction which incorporates single shaft seals, of a material specification that will suit most chemical applications. An added benefit is the cast iron support frame, which minim&es bending loads on the pump casing, while allowing easy maintenance when required. Suitable for heavy duty, permanent furture applications in most chemical and industrial plants, the MH long coupled pump takes full advantage of Kestner’s corrosion resistant materials. The pump has also been designed to allow complete back pull-out of the bearing assembly, impeller, seal and backplate, without disturbing the suction and delivery connections, or the alignment of the driving motor. DP-Pumps BV has expanded its series of vertical multi-phase inline centrifugal pumps with the addition of three new models. The new pumps offer a several advantages, but their main feature is that all components in contact with the pumped medium are made of stainless steel. Since all components subject to corrosion cannot be influenced by the medium, the pumps have a longer service life, their performance is enhanced and hygiene is improved. Improved performance is realized by the design of parts such as the diffusers: these have been optimised in the new pumps, resulting in higher efficiency, and reduced energy consumption. Another important feature is that, compared with previous versions of vertical multistage in-

line centrifugal pumps, the shaft/impeller hub design has been improved. The O-ring seal of the pump sleeve is insensitive to temperature fluctuations, which assures maximum protection against leakage. The mechanical shaft seal is designed to conform with DIN 24960. The pumps of both series have a deep-drawn and welded pump-foot.The DPVS is available with internal-thread flanges or with victaulic connections. Both pump series are universally interchangeable with DPPumps’ DPL and DPLS series. The new pumps’ maximum capacity is 24 m3/h and the maximum head is 2450 kPa. The electric motors are of IP55 protection class according to DIN 40050. The output of the motors varies from 0.75 kW to 22 kW at a speed of 2850 ‘pm.
