I Announcement ROYAL SOCIETY OF TROPICAL MEDICINE AND HYGIENE M a n s o n , C h a l m e r s and M a c k a y Medals 2004 T h e M a n s o n Medal is a w a r d e d triennially. It is the Society's highest mark o f distinction, and shall be m a d e to the p e r s o n w h o s e contribution to any b r a n c h o f tropical m e d i c i n e or hygiene is c o n s i d e r e d by Council to merit the h o n o u r most.
The C h a l m e r s M e d a l is a w a r d e d each year in recognition o f research contributing to the knowledge o f tropical m e d i c i n e or tropical hygiene. Only p e r s o n s u n d e r the age o f 46 o n 1 June o f the year of award shall be eligible.
T h e D o n a l d M a c k a y M e d a l is awarded for o u t s t a n d i n g work in tropical health, especially relating to i m p r o v e m e n t in the health o f rural or u r b a n workers in the tropics.
