OOOO Volume 129, Number 1 the molar regions. No root reabsorption was noted. With hypotheses of odontogenic neoplasia, a biopsy was performed in the mandible and maxilla, which revealed hollow cavities devoid of contents. Fragments were submitted for anatomopathologic analysis and showed bone trabeculations of a reactionary aspect. After we assessed both clinical and histopathologic findings, we suggested idiopathic bone cavity associated with fibrous dysplasia. Four-month postprocedure radiograph showed evidence of partial bone neoformation.

CONSERVATIVE TREATMENT OF DENTIGEROUS CYST IN PEDIATRIC PATIENTS. NATHALIA SCHETTINI S FERME, VALDIR ^ MEIRELLES, PAMELLA DE PINHO MONTOVANI, MARCIA GRILLO CABRAL, MARIANA CAMPELLO NUNES, GUSTAVO DE SOUZA VIEIRA and, JOSE ALEXANDRE DA ROCHA CURVELO Patients LSL and THV, aged 8 and 9 years old and white, came to the clinic of stomatology to evaluate the increase of mandibular volume uncovered in daily consultations with a dentist. LSL presented pain and drainage, with antibiotic coverage before routing to a specialized stomatology service, and THV was sent directly to the service through an orthodontist, who saw the lesion in a routine consultation. Intraoral analysis of LSL revealed the lobbying of the vestibule in the posterior region, and THV did not have increase of volume or symptomatology. A probable diagnosis of dentigerous cyst was reached after evaluation of orthopantomogram. Conservative treatment chosen was marsupialization and specimen shipment for histopathologic analysis. The control of both patients is periodical, and they are stable without relapse of lesion, loss of bone, and loss of dental structure, with complete restoration of function and elimination of lesion.

DIAGNOSIS OF MULTIPLE BROWN TUMORS OF SECONDARY HYPERPARATHYROIDISM IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE. FERNANDO NEVES DA SILVA, ANA PAULA RIBEIRO BRAOSI, MELISSA RODRIGUES DE ARAUJO, ROBERTA TARGA STRAMANDINOLI-ZANICOTTI, CAROLINE ZIMMERMANN, LUCIANA APARECIDA DE OLIVEIRA PEREIRA LYRA and, ACIR JOSE DIRSCHNABEL The brown tumor of hyperparathyroidism is a rare condition associated with excessive production of parathyroid hormone in response to decreased serum calcium levels associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD). A 28-year-old female patient with CKD undergoing hemodialysis presented an asymptomatic swelling in the buccal region of teeth 34 to 44 and mobility of them. Similar swellings were observed on the palate and alveolar ridge distal to tooth 17. On the panoramic radiograph, a radiolucent area not defined by radiopaque halo was observed in the anterior region of the mandible of approximately 2.5 cm in length and radiolucent area around tooth 46. Biochemical tests showed hyperphosphatemia, hypercalcemia, and hyperparathyroidism. An incisional biopsy was performed, and the fragments removed were submitted to histologic analysis, which showed multiple multinucleated giant cells in hemorrhagic exudate. The patient was referred to the medical service for treatment of hyperparathyroidism secondary to CKD.

MICROMARSUPIALIZATION AS A CONSERVATIVE TREATMENT FOR RANULA. ROBECI ALVES MACEDO FILHO, SERGIO HENRIQUE e DA SILVA GONCALVES ¸ DE CARVALHO, TIAGO JOAO FILHO, ROBERIA LUCIA DE QUEIROZ FIGUEIREDO, JOZINETE VIEIRA PEREIRA, POLLIANNA MUNIZ ALVES and, DALIANA QUEIROGA DE CASTRO GOMES An 11-year-old female patient complained of "a blister in the mouth." Intraoral examination evidenced a bullous lesion in the left mouth floor measuring approximately 4 cm with exophytic growing, bluish coloration, defined limits, soft consistency, smooth surface, and 5 days of evolution. Clinical diagnosis was ranula. Micromarsupialization was performed after infiltrative anesthesia, and surgical knots were made far from the mucosa by the interposition of a hemostatic clamp, forming fistulas originating from the epithelization around the thread, allowing salivary flow. In the transoperative period, there was immediate drainage of part of the content retained within the lesion, reducing its initial volume. Surgical knots were removed after 7 days, and the patient was followed up for 3 months. The lesion regressed entirely without signals of recurrence, ruling out the need of excision. Therefore, micromarsupialization stands as a conservative therapy for the treatment of ranulas and mucoceles of significant size.

LOW-LEVEL LASER THERAPY FOR XEROSTOMIA CONTROL IN A PATIENT WITH SCLERODERMA: CLINICAL CASE REPORT. BARROS DE OLIVEIRA, JULIANA CRISTINA ANALU SARDELLA, ANDREIA BUFALINO, LARISSA NATIELE MIOTTO, TULIO MORANDIN FERRISSE and, e BRIGHENTI FERNANDA LOURENC ¸ AO The aim of this study was to report the effect of low-level laser therapy for xerostomia control in a patient with scleroderma. A 7-year-old female patient with medical history of scleroderma was attended with dry and rigid appearance of facial skin and xerostomia. Baseline stimulated salivary flow was assessed before and after treatment. Low-level laser therapy was performed by xerostomia with 6 intraoral points at sublingual glands, 10 points at parotid glands, and 8 points at submandibular glands with 808 nm, 100 mW, and 0.8 J for 8 seconds at each point. The baseline stimulated salivary flow was < 0.1 mL/min. After 6 sessions, an increase in salivary flow was observed. The patient reported relief of the discomforts. It is concluded that low-level laser therapy was effective in controlling xerostomia associated with scleroderma, resulting in increased salivary flow, and improved the perception of quality of life in the patient.

FOCAL OSTEOPOROTIC MARROW DEFECT ASSOCIATED WITH DENTIGEROUS CYST: A CASE REPORT. KAIO HEIDE SAMPAIO NOBREGA, LAUREN FRENZEL SCHUCH, ANA PAULA NEUTZLING GOMES, SANDRA BEATRIZ CHAVES TARQUINIO and, ANA CAROLINA UCHOA VASCONCELOS A 37-year-old woman was referred to the School of Dentistry, Brazil, in April 2018, complaining of a radiographic finding noted by her dentist. The intra- and extraoral examination did not present any abnormalities. The panoramic radiograph revealed 2 different
