Grundfos to exhibit WaterLift and circulator pumps at MCE Grundfos will be exhibiting components of its WaterLift pumping stations, which form part of the company’s existing range of PUST for pressurized network and small wastewater applications, at the MCE show, Milan, Italy in March. WaterLift pumping stations are designed for municipal

and industrial wastewater and rainwater. Unlike most pumping stations, they are made of glass reinforced polyester which resists both compressive and tensile forces, with the helical filaments reinforcing the radial resistance of the pump pit. This means that the lifetime of the pumping station is much longer

than the traditional concrete pump pits, Grundfos says. The pumping stations are designed in such a way that the unhealthy matters can never pollute the groundwater. The water tightness of the pumping station reduces the amount of parasite water and allows optimizing the pumping time and the energy consumption. The company says that the pumping stations incorporate the company’s SE1 and SEV pumps which are equipped with a cable plug hermetically sealed, with a compact double shaft seal cartridge and a stainless steel clamp for a quick assembling/disassembling pump and motor unit.

undergone an upgrade, using a two-component version of the original red paint, creating an stronger and more durable surface. The MAGNA pumps now have insulation shells for heating applications and the AUTOADAPT feature by which the pumps can continually analyse and learn from the system. This analysis function means that 80% of the time, the MAGNA simply finds the best set-point automatically, eliminating the need for manual adjustment.

Improved calibration system for flow meter

Lube oil pump with boosted capacity

Fluid Components International has installed VeriCal, a in-situ calibration verification system for the company’s GF90 Air/Gas Flow Meter. The system makes it possible for plant technicians to confirm flow measurement accuracy without removing the meter from the pipe or process. The VeriCal System is made up of a GF90 flow element with additional electronics to feed and measure a precise flow of gas from a nitrogen source. To test a GF90 flow meter, the nitrogen gas is flowed through the meter’s flow element and measured at five pre-set measurement points across the meter’s range.

Allweiler AG has expanded the maximum capacity of its Allub Ruv vertically immersed screw pump to 1300 l/min, more than 30% higher than previous models.

the process, returned to the manufacturer or a calibration lab for testing and then shipped back for re-installation in the process, the company says. The system is suitable for a wide range of applications for oil/gas production and refining, chemical plants and electric power generation and include flares, offshore platforms, ship-to-shore offloading, well heads, tank farms, storage and distribution facilities, landfill biogas recovery and coal-fired power plants.

This pump, which can supply lubrication and hydraulic oil, is designed to stay in service without maintenance for a long time. It is available in a pump/motor assembly with covering plate and pipework, making it ready for installation in an oil reservoir. Immersion depth can be adjusted to the height of the reservoir. The Allub Ruv three-screw, self-priming pump is suitable for use in any segment of industry where mineralbased and synthetic lube oil, hydraulic oil, and other similar media must be moved efficiently. It is designed for vertical installation in the oil

container and, depending on the size of the pump and motor, immersion depth in the tank is between 325 and 1600 mm. The series’ capacity range now covers 30 to 1300 l/min with maximum pressure of 16 bar and maximum viscosity of 760 mm 2/s. The pump has no shaft seal, the bearing is liquidlubricated, and hydraulically balanced spindles relieve the spindles, casing, and antifriction bearings, making the the pump/motor assembly maintenance-free. Allub Ruv is available in nine different sizes and is suitable for operation in potentiallyexplosive environments. It complies with the requirements of EC explosion protection directive 94/9/EC (ATEX 100a) of device class II, category 2G (temperature classes T1 to T4).
