Guyson Corp. has introduced an expanded single-spindle blast system with advanced controls for shot peening of aircraft and automotive components. The Model RSSA-8 is one of a family of rotary blast machines with special features for precision surface treatment applications. A single component is fixtured on the servomotor-driven spindle or worktable of the unit. Rotation or radial indexing of the table is synchronized with the motion of the automatic machine’s multiple-axis nozzle enabling promanipulator, grammed, accurate, and repeatable processing of a variety of components that will be shot peened to similar specifications.
